Just a man that enjoys hills
A chance opportunity saw me make a permanent move to Edinburgh in 2012, where I have since taken every opportunity in breaking out of the jammed streets and stone walls of Edinburgh so that I can fling myself into the hills and woodlands of Scotland. Once out, yeah, I take obscene amounts of photographs (hey, if you take a hundred, one is bound to be good), and then taking that inspiration and hurl it at the written page. It's a solid foundation for a writer!
I've been a writer in some capacity since scrawling out "Escape from Kraznir" way back at school in the early-90's. Sadly, that ancient text is now lost, but I'm sure it was part of some curriculum so you can still get the gist of it via google! Since then, my writing led me to games journalism, a journalism degree, and then... something completely different. But, I have continued to write as a hobby, have released a couple of books on Amazon, and have a stuffed crypt full of ideas for future releases.
Accolades? I'm a fairly unknown author, but I did win the Pitlochry Festival Theatre "Winter Words - Faery Tales" competition in 2017 with "The Carraig Man". Later on that year, my first published book, "Cold Call", made it to Halloween #1 on amazon.co.uk in 2017.
My current projects are the tales of Marigold, a love letter to Robert E. Howards "Conan the Barbarian", and "Havelock's Path", the big tale that is likely going to be my life's work before I dare to bring it to a general readership.
